When you create an account, we collect your email address and password (handled securely by Supabase Auth). As you use N.ext, we store the training data you enter or that the app generates on your behalf — workouts, plans, performance logs, and your conversations with the AI coach.
If you choose to connect a training platform such as intervals.icu, we also receive your completed activity data — the date, sport, duration, distance, elevation and heart rate of sessions recorded by your watch. Connecting is optional, it is never required to use N.ext, and you can disconnect at any time.
Your data is used to sync your training across devices, generate and adapt your AI training plan, and provide coaching responses. We do not sell your data or use it for advertising.
Activity data from a connected training platform is used to match the sessions you have completed against the sessions your plan prescribed, and to help the AI coach adapt the following week to how your training actually went.
Account and training data is stored in Supabase, encrypted at rest and in transit. Subscription payments are processed by Paystack — we do not store your card details ourselves.
AI processing. N.ext uses artificial intelligence to build and adapt your training plan. Your training information — including your profile, your plan, which sessions you completed, any notes you leave, and activity data from a connected training platform — is sent to Anthropic (Claude) so it can generate your plan and coaching responses. It is not used to train Anthropic's models.
Where processing happens. Our service providers are located outside South Africa, so your information is transferred and processed abroad. By using N.ext you consent to that transfer. We only use providers that are contractually required to protect your information.
We don't share your data with anyone beyond what's needed to provide the service above.
Connecting a training platform is entirely optional. If you choose to connect one:
That platform has its own privacy policy governing the data it holds about you, and its terms apply to your account with them.
You can request a copy of your data or ask us to delete your account and all associated data at any time by emailing support@nextraining.co.za. We'll action deletion requests within 30 days. You may also withdraw your consent to AI processing or to a connected training platform at any time, though N.ext cannot build you a plan without the former.
N.ext is not directed at children under 13. If you're under 18, a parent or guardian must consent to these terms on your behalf.
We may update this policy from time to time. Continued use of N.ext after changes constitutes acceptance of the new policy.
